
ABOUT THE COURSE
A comprehensive hands on training program designed to introduce learners to the skills and industry knowledge needed to secure and maintain stage production gig work. Whether you're looking to build a career in the industry or just dip your toes into some exciting part time work, this six week course covers entry level positions in everything from sound and lights to rigging and backline. The course is designed as a six part series. Each part spans 4-5 hours of hands on training plus a 6-7 hour capstone event totaling in approximately 24 hours of hands on training from working industry professionals.
Part 1 - Introduction to Live Concert Tech
Learn essential safety protocols and best practices for leading industry technical aspects that are fundamental for success in the industry.
Part 2 - Staging, Rigging & Backline
Gain hands-on experience with rigging techniques, stage builds, power management & backline setup to ensure seamless production experiences.
Part 3 - Stage Lighting
Delve into lighting design, focusing on creating captivating audience experiences through stage lighting.
Part 4 - Video
Get your hands on the video equipment and high end tech that has become a critical part of the live concert industry while learning the concepts & components of projection and LED panels.
Part 5 - Audio
Explore the basic principles of sound design, mixing, and audio engineering critical for live events.
Part 6 - Show Day
Participate in a comprehensive overview of the production process, from setup to teardown on show day.
